What makes trainwreck strain
As the story goes the two brothers had to pull their crop early because there was a nasty train wreck that happened near their grow site and they didn't want it discovered, thus the name. Trainwreck can grow well both indoors and outdoors. Plants of this strain grow fairly tall but the Indica in them causes them fill out well.
Inside grown in hydro a single plant can yield up to grams in a square meter. When grown in soil outside Trainwreck plants are ready for harvesting early October and can yield up to grams. This strain flowers somewhere between eight and ten weeks.
For the longest time Trainwreck was only available in clone form but more recently a few places have been able to recreate seeds of the strain. There are several others that have tried to imitate the strain under the same name, some with great success.
Real Trainwreck will have thin leaves and dense buds full of resin. The buds give off a strong citrus smell as they ripen. If it does not have that little menthol aftertaste, you are not smokin' Trainwreck my friend. Super-menthol in the case of it's child the Ice Wreck strain.. It really has it's own unique style. A very hearthy, "rich" strain, like an excellent Boeuf Bourguignon.
With mint jelly on the side. I grew this strain and it went pretty much exactly as advertised. Large resin covered dense buds, very easy to grow, very resilient and smells of sweets citruses and pines. It is a lovely buzz, giving just enough indica body buzz to allow my old bones to keep up with the energized mood this strain puts me in. Lovely smoke. I recently bought a cartridge in this strain.
Up next: Trainwreck. A very old variety dating back to at least the early s, Trainwreck is a bit of a mystery thanks to a couple different origin stories. However, the common thread in these stories is Thai, Mexican, and Afghani plants, all of which were common in the Arcata and Humboldt County areas of Northern California.
Notoriously potent and racy, Trainwreck is a variety for true sativa lovers, but it also packs a strong indica punch towards the end that leaves most users a little dazed and sleepy after the somewhat heart-racing start. This one is for experienced smokers only; too much can have you peeking out the windows and calling the cops on yourself. It has spindly, weak branches and oddly shaped flowers that seem to jut out at random. Great all day smoke, uplifting effects that gradually turn into a relaxed state of well being.
The sativa makes this a great get up and go wake and bake, and relaxation after effects make it good for falling asleep. Thank you GG. I am blessed to have found a company who cares about the mental health of a human being.
Now I can get off these damn prescription pills and start living a drug free life. At least as far as effects go. Spot on! I'll be back :. Flavor: Sweet, sour, many spices, herbs, incenses, and flowery flavors combine into an overall delicious flavor and effect that stems from delightfully simple ancestral roots spanning a threefold contrast in climate.
Effect: Pure, unclouded, soothed, euphoric, positive, and compared to other sativas, almost nothing in terms of any paranoia or anxiety to be heard of. At higher doses, you may have issues with memory and find it easier to laugh. Simply wonderful medicine. Flowery taste with lemon, weird at first but I ended liking it a lot What I had was not very strong, but the effect makes you happy and last a long time, so that was a good daytime strain for me. No rush, just a feel good, functional buzz. So overall a very good daytime strain, not something for evenings.
Taste was ok, nothing special. The bud looked awesome in the jar. Would get again.
